Karie Farrer - Physiotherapist

Karie Farrer is a registered physiotherapist, licensed with the College of Physiotherapists of B.C. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria.

Over the years Karie has worked with clients who have experienced sports and orthopaedic injuries, ICBC and WCB injuries, ergonomic issues. She has used biomechanical analysis and sport performance screening to enhance her treatment approach.

She is the team physiotherapist for the New Westminster Salmonbellies semi-pro lacrosse team. She tends to the athletes injuries both at the field and in the clinic. Karie also enjoys treating a variety of clients from young athletes to weekend warriors of all ages. She works together with clients using manual therapy and client specific exercise prescription to resolve pain issues, prevent injuries and enhance performance.

When Karie isn't working she enjoys travelling the around the globe. In the past she has lived and worked in Europe, Australia and more recently, Vietnam where she lived and volunteered for seven months in an orphanage that housed disabled children.

Now settling into Vancouver, Karie enjoys running, playing tennis and golf in the summer and hitting the slopes in the winter to snowboard.

Karie believes that being active is the key to feeling young and healthy and is enthusiastic in her pursuit of helping people achieve and maintain a maximum quality of life.
